1402 – EM 385-1-1 Safety & Occupational Health Requirements – Refresher – 8 Hour
A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health provides an 8-hour EM 385-1-1 Safety & Occupational Health Requirements Refresher Training program designed for safety professionals, supervisors, project managers, contractors, subcontractors, SSHO personnel, competent persons, and other individuals who have previously completed EM 385-1-1 training or have relevant experience working under U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) safety requirements.
This instructor-led professional refresher program reviews key Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) requirements contained in the current EM 385-1-1, dated 15 March 2024, with emphasis on current requirements, hazard recognition, project safety management, Activity Hazard Analysis, Accident Prevention Plans, inspections, documentation, and effective implementation of safety controls.

The 8-hour course duration should not be interpreted as a universal USACE refresher requirement applicable to every employee, contractor, project, position, or training requirement.
Qualification Notice: Completion of this refresher program does not by itself renew, extend, establish, or replace qualification, designation, competency, or acceptance for a specific USACE contract position. Contract-specific training, experience, competent-person, qualified-person, SSHO, HAZWOPER, licensing, certification, or other requirements may apply depending on the participant’s duties and the applicable contract.
Training Certificate: Participants who successfully complete applicable course requirements may receive an A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health Certificate of Training documenting completion of the 8-hour EM 385-1-1 professional refresher training program. The certificate documents training completed and should not be represented as a USACE-issued certification or governmental license.
