1503 – Forklift Operator Safety Training
A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health provides Forklift Operator Safety Training designed to provide participants with the knowledge and practical understanding necessary to safely operate powered industrial trucks and recognize hazards associated with forklift operations.
This training program addresses equipment inspection, operating controls, stability, load handling, workplace hazards, pedestrian safety, safe travel, manufacturer requirements, and operator responsibilities. Practical operator evaluation may be provided when applicable and when suitable equipment is available.

Training Discipline: Equipment Operator Safety
Equipment: Forklift / Powered Industrial Truck
Training Format: Instructor-led classroom and/or online instruction with practical equipment evaluation as applicable.
Operator Evaluation: OSHA powered industrial truck requirements include formal instruction, practical training, and evaluation of the operator’s performance in the workplace. When this A.R.G. course is delivered as part of employer operator qualification, the applicable practical training and workplace evaluation must also be completed and documented.
Refresher & Reevaluation Notice: Refresher training is required when specified operating conditions demonstrate a need for additional training, including unsafe operation, an accident or near-miss, assignment to a different type of truck, or workplace changes affecting safe operation. Operator performance must also be evaluated at least once every three years in accordance with applicable OSHA powered industrial truck requirements.
Employer Responsibility Notice: Completion of classroom or online training alone does not automatically authorize an individual to operate a forklift. Employers remain responsible for ensuring operators receive the required training, practical instruction, workplace evaluation, equipment-specific instruction, and authorization appropriate to the equipment and workplace conditions involved.
Training Certificate: Participants who successfully complete applicable training and evaluation requirements may receive an A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health Certificate of Training documenting completion of the Forklift Operator Safety Training program.
The certificate documents training completed and should not be represented as a governmental operator license.
