1202 – Lead-Based Paint Abatement Supervisor Initial Training – 32 Hour
A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health provides comprehensive Lead-Based Paint Abatement Supervisor Initial Training for individuals responsible for supervising and directing lead-based paint abatement projects in target housing and child-occupied facilities.
This 32-hour initial training program is structured around the EPA Lead-Based Paint Activities Program requirements for the Supervisor discipline under 40 CFR Part 745, Subpart L. The course provides advanced instruction in lead hazard recognition, worker protection, abatement methods, project planning, regulatory compliance, supervision, documentation, and safe management of lead-based paint abatement activities.

Regulatory Framework: EPA Lead-Based Paint Activities Program, 40 CFR Part 745, Subpart L, applicable HUD requirements, and applicable federal, state, tribal, and local requirements.
Supervisor Responsibility: The Supervisor discipline addresses the knowledge and responsibilities necessary to supervise and direct regulated lead-based paint abatement activities, including worker protection, work practices, project oversight, regulatory compliance, and required documentation.
Important: Lead-Based Paint Abatement Supervisor training is separate from EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Certified Renovator training. Abatement and renovation activities are regulated under different program requirements.
Certification Notice: Successful completion of an accredited Supervisor training course is one component of the certification process. Course completion alone does not automatically authorize an individual to supervise regulated lead-based paint abatement activities. Applicable individual certification, examination, licensing, registration, experience, and jurisdiction-specific requirements must also be satisfied.
