The A.R.G. OSH 30-Hour Outreach Class – Maritime Industry provides expanded occupational safety and health training for workers, supervisors, safety personnel, and others with workplace safety responsibilities in shipyards, marine terminals, longshoring, cargo handling, and related maritime operations.
The program provides broader coverage of maritime workplace hazards and emphasizes hazard recognition, avoidance, prevention, control, workplace inspections, and effective safety and health practices.

Course Duration: 30 Hours
Technical Reference Areas: Maritime occupational safety and health principles associated with 29 CFR Parts 1915, 1917, and 1918, as applicable to the training topic and maritime operation.

Course Completion: Participants who successfully complete the required training may receive A.R.G. course completion documentation for the OSH 30-Hour Outreach Class – Maritime Industry.
Important: This is an independent A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health occupational safety and health training program. It is not the U.S. Department of Labor OSHA Outreach Training Program and does not issue an OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour student course completion card.
This program does not replace employer-specific training, equipment-specific training, competent or qualified person requirements, or other training required by applicable occupational safety and health standards.
Employers remain responsible for providing employees with training appropriate to their assigned duties, workplace hazards, equipment, operations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
