The A.R.G. OSH 10-Hour Outreach Class – Maritime Industry provides foundational occupational safety and health awareness for workers involved in shipyards, marine terminals, longshoring, cargo handling, and related maritime operations.
The program emphasizes hazard recognition, avoidance, prevention, and control while introducing participants to significant safety and health hazards encountered throughout maritime workplaces.

Course Duration: 10 Hours
Technical Reference Areas: Maritime occupational safety and health principles associated with 29 CFR Parts 1915, 1917, and 1918, as applicable to the training topic and maritime operation.
Program: A.R.G. Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Outreach Program – Maritime Industry.
Course Completion: Participants who successfully complete the required training may receive A.R.G. course completion documentation for the OSH 10-Hour Outreach Class – Maritime Industry.
Important: This is an independent A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health occupational safety and health training program. It is not the U.S. Department of Labor OSHA Outreach Training Program and does not issue an OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour student course completion card.
This awareness-level program does not replace employer-specific training, equipment-specific training, competent or qualified person requirements, or other training required by applicable occupational safety and health standards.
Employers remain responsible for providing employees with training appropriate to their assigned duties, workplace hazards, equipment, operations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
