A.R.G. Safety Basic Plus – Workplace Safety Training
The A.R.G. Safety Basic Plus – Workplace Safety Training program provides comprehensive foundational workplace safety and health training designed for employees, contractors, supervisors, new hires, and other personnel working in construction, industrial, maintenance, service, and related work environments.
The program combines essential workplace safety topics into a comprehensive safety orientation designed to strengthen hazard recognition, safe work practices, employee awareness, and understanding of fundamental workplace safety responsibilities.
Program Objectives
Upon successful completion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Recognize common workplace safety and health hazards.
- Understand fundamental employee and employer safety responsibilities.
- Apply basic hazard recognition and hazard-control principles.
- Understand Hazard Communication and chemical safety fundamentals.
- Recognize the importance and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Recognize basic electrical hazards and safe work practices.
- Understand fundamental hazardous energy and Lockout/Tagout awareness principles.
- Recognize common fall hazards and basic fall-prevention practices.
- Recognize basic ladder and scaffold hazards.
- Understand safe material-handling and housekeeping practices.
- Recognize basic hand and power tool hazards.
- Understand fire prevention and emergency response fundamentals.
- Recognize basic excavation, trenching, and confined-space hazards.
- Understand the purpose of Job Hazard Analysis and Job Safety Analysis.
- Recognize common struck-by and caught-in/between hazards.
- Understand incident, hazard, and near-miss reporting responsibilities.
- Promote effective safety communication and workplace safety awareness.

This training and Certificate of Training are not issued by OSHA and do not constitute an OSHA certification, license, endorsement, OSHA Outreach Training Program completion card, or authorization from another safety council or third-party organization. This course does not replace employer-required site-specific, task-specific, equipment-specific, or other training required by applicable regulations or workplace conditions.
