A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health provides Flammable & Combustible Liquids Fire Safety Training designed to help employees recognize fire, explosion, vapor, ignition, handling, transfer, storage, spill, and emergency hazards associated with flammable and combustible liquids in the workplace.
This training is appropriate for construction, general industry, manufacturing, warehouses, maintenance operations, automotive and equipment service areas, industrial facilities, fuel-handling operations, laboratories, commercial facilities, and other workplaces where flammable or combustible liquids may be used, handled, transferred, or stored.

Training Discipline: Flammable & Combustible Liquids, Fire Prevention & Workplace Life Safety
Hazard Communication Notice: Employees working with hazardous chemicals should receive applicable workplace Hazard Communication information and training, including information concerning labels, Safety Data Sheets, hazards, and protective measures. This course does not replace chemical-specific Hazard Communication training required for the employee’s workplace.
Storage & Handling Notice: Requirements for containers, cabinets, storage areas, quantities, transfer operations, ventilation, fire protection, and ignition-source control depend on the materials, quantities, processes, workplace, and applicable requirements. Employers remain responsible for determining and implementing the controls applicable to their operations.
Bonding & Grounding Notice: Transfer of certain flammable liquids can create hazardous static electricity. Bonding, grounding, transfer equipment, and other static-control methods should be selected and implemented according to applicable requirements and the specific operation. Employees should not improvise electrical or static-control arrangements.
Vapor Hazard Notice: Flammable vapors can travel away from a liquid source and may accumulate in low, enclosed, or poorly ventilated locations. An ignition source may ignite vapors at a location separated from the original liquid release.
Spill Response Limitation: Employees should respond only to spills or releases within their training, assigned responsibilities, available protective equipment, and employer procedures. Releases that create an emergency or uncontrolled hazard may require evacuation and response by appropriately trained personnel.
HAZWOPER Notice: Completion of this course does not satisfy HAZWOPER emergency-response training requirements under 29 CFR 1910.120 or other applicable hazardous-material emergency-response requirements.
Firefighting Limitation: This course does not qualify participants as firefighters, fire brigade members, hazardous-material technicians, emergency responders, fire inspectors, or fire-protection technicians.
Workplace-Specific Notice: Employers remain responsible for identifying the specific liquids used or stored at the workplace, evaluating their hazards, maintaining required labels and Safety Data Sheets, establishing storage and handling procedures, controlling ignition sources, providing required PPE, and establishing applicable emergency procedures.
Training Certificate: Participants who successfully complete applicable training requirements may receive an A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health Certificate of Training documenting completion of the Flammable & Combustible Liquids Fire Safety Training program.
The certificate documents training completed and should not be represented as an OSHA-issued credential, hazardous-material responder certification, firefighter certification, fire inspector certification, or governmental license or certification.
