A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health provides Fire Alarm & Emergency Notification Safety Awareness Training designed to help employees understand the purpose of workplace fire alarm and emergency notification systems, recognize emergency signals, properly report emergencies, follow established evacuation or protective-action procedures, and understand their responsibilities when an alarm or emergency notification is activated.
This awareness-level program is appropriate for construction, general industry, manufacturing, warehouses, offices, commercial facilities, industrial operations, maintenance facilities, property-management operations, and other workplaces that use alarm or emergency notification systems.

Training Discipline: Fire Alarm Systems, Emergency Notification, Emergency Communication & Workplace Life Safety Awareness
Employee Alarm System Notice: Workplace employee alarm systems are intended to provide warning necessary for employees to take appropriate emergency action. The type of alarm, signal, communication method, and required employee response depend on the workplace and its emergency procedures.
Workplace-Specific Signals: Employees should understand the meaning of the alarms, signals, voice messages, or other emergency notifications used at their specific workplace. A signal used for evacuation at one facility may have a different meaning or may not be used at another facility.
Emergency Response Notice: When an alarm or emergency notification is activated, employees should follow their employer’s established emergency procedures, including applicable evacuation, shelter-in-place, accountability, reporting, or other protective actions.
Alarm Activation Notice: Employees should understand how and when to report an emergency and activate available manual alarm or notification systems when required by workplace procedures. Alarm devices should not be obstructed, disabled, damaged, or improperly activated.
System Impairment Notice: When a required fire alarm, detection, suppression, or other life-safety system is impaired, additional protective measures may be required by the employer, facility procedures, applicable codes, contractual requirements, insurer requirements, or the authority having jurisdiction.
Inspection, Testing & Maintenance Limitation: This is an awareness-level safety course. It does not qualify participants to install, program, inspect, test, repair, service, certify, or approve fire alarm, detection, mass-notification, or other fire-protection systems.
Code Awareness Notice: Fire alarm and emergency notification requirements may involve OSHA standards, applicable fire and building codes, adopted consensus standards, authorities having jurisdiction, contractual requirements, and facility-specific procedures. Requirements can vary by workplace, occupancy, system, and jurisdiction.
Qualification Limitation: Completion of this course does not qualify a participant as a fire alarm technician, fire-protection technician, fire inspector, building inspector, firefighter, emergency responder, or code official.
Workplace-Specific Notice: Employers remain responsible for establishing applicable alarm and emergency notification procedures, maintaining required systems, communicating the meaning of workplace-specific signals, training affected employees, and coordinating emergency procedures with applicable responders and authorities.
Training Certificate: Participants who successfully complete applicable training requirements may receive an A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health Certificate of Training documenting completion of the Fire Alarm & Emergency Notification Safety Awareness Training program.
The certificate documents training completed and should not be represented as an OSHA-issued credential, fire alarm technician certification, fire-protection license, firefighter certification, fire inspector credential, or governmental certification.
