A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health provides Fire Door & Exit Door Safety Awareness Training designed to help employees recognize the life-safety importance of fire doors, exit doors, exit routes, door hardware, unobstructed egress, and maintaining doors and pathways used during workplace emergencies.
This awareness-level program is appropriate for construction, general industry, commercial buildings, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, offices, healthcare support operations, maintenance personnel, property and facility personnel, and other workplaces where fire doors and emergency exit doors are present.

Training Discipline: Fire Door Awareness, Exit Door Safety, Means of Egress & Workplace Life Safety
Exit Route Notice: Required exit routes and exit doors should remain available and unobstructed in accordance with applicable workplace requirements. Materials, equipment, temporary construction, security measures, or other conditions should not improperly interfere with employee emergency egress.
Fire Door Notice: Fire doors are components of fire-protection and life-safety systems. Employees should not block, wedge, disable, modify, or otherwise interfere with required fire-door operation unless the activity is specifically permitted and properly controlled under applicable requirements.
Door Security Notice: Workplace security measures should not prevent required emergency egress. Locking arrangements and door hardware must comply with the requirements applicable to the building, occupancy, workplace, and jurisdiction.
Inspection & Maintenance Limitation: This course provides safety awareness. It does not qualify a participant to perform regulated fire-door inspections, fire-door assembly testing, code compliance inspections, repairs, alterations, certification, or other activities requiring qualified, licensed, certified, or otherwise authorized personnel.
Code Awareness Notice: Fire-door and exit-door requirements may involve OSHA standards as well as applicable fire codes, building codes, adopted consensus standards, authorities having jurisdiction, contractual requirements, and facility-specific procedures. Requirements can vary by occupancy and jurisdiction.
Employee Reporting: Employees should promptly report blocked exits, damaged doors, malfunctioning closing or latching devices, missing hardware, improperly secured doors, or other conditions that could interfere with fire protection or emergency egress.
Workplace-Specific Notice: Employers and building operators remain responsible for determining applicable fire-door, exit-door, means-of-egress, inspection, maintenance, emergency-planning, and employee-training requirements for their facilities.
Training Certificate: Participants who successfully complete applicable training requirements may receive an A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health Certificate of Training documenting completion of the Fire Door & Exit Door Safety Awareness Training program.
The certificate documents safety training completed and should not be represented as a fire-door inspector certification, fire-protection license, building inspector credential, OSHA-issued credential, or governmental certification.
