1601 – Fire Prevention & Workplace Fire Safety Training
A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health provides Fire Prevention & Workplace Fire Safety Training designed to help employees recognize common workplace fire hazards, understand fundamental fire-prevention practices, identify ignition and fuel sources, maintain safe work areas, and understand their responsibilities under applicable workplace fire-prevention and emergency procedures.
This training is appropriate for construction, general industry, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, maintenance operations, offices, commercial facilities, industrial environments, and other workplaces where employees may be exposed to fire hazards.

Training Discipline: Fire Prevention, Workplace Fire Safety & Life Safety
Fire Prevention Plan Awareness: Where an OSHA standard requires a Fire Prevention Plan, applicable requirements may include identification of major fire hazards, hazardous-material handling and storage procedures, ignition-source controls, required fire protection equipment, combustible-waste controls, safeguards for heat-producing equipment, and identification of employees responsible for certain fire-prevention functions.
Employee Information: Employers subject to applicable Fire Prevention Plan requirements are responsible for informing employees upon initial assignment of fire hazards to which they are exposed and reviewing the portions of the Fire Prevention Plan necessary for employee self-protection.
Emergency Planning Notice: Fire prevention and emergency response are related but separate workplace responsibilities. Employers should establish and implement applicable fire-prevention, emergency action, alarm, evacuation, and employee-accountability procedures appropriate to their workplace.
Workplace-Specific Notice: Fire hazards vary considerably by workplace. This course provides professional safety training but does not replace workplace-specific hazard assessment, employee orientation, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, site-specific procedures, or other training required for particular hazards.
Firefighting Limitation: Completion of this course does not designate or qualify a participant as a firefighter, fire brigade member, fire inspector, fire extinguisher technician, or emergency responder.
Employer Responsibility Notice: Employers remain responsible for determining which OSHA standards and other federal, state, local, fire-code, insurance, contractual, and site-specific requirements apply to their operations and for implementing the required workplace programs and controls.
Training Certificate: Participants who successfully complete applicable training requirements may receive an A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health Certificate of Training documenting completion of the Fire Prevention & Workplace Fire Safety Training program.
The certificate documents training completed and should not be represented as an OSHA-issued credential, firefighter certification, fire inspector certification, fire protection license, or governmental certification.
