OSH 7.5-Hour Disaster Site Worker

The A.R.G. OSH 7.5-Hour Disaster Site Worker program provides foundational occupational safety and health awareness for workers who may participate in disaster recovery, cleanup, demolition, debris removal, utility restoration, heavy equipment operations, or other skilled support activities following natural or human-caused disasters.

The program emphasizes the differences between disaster sites and normal workplaces and prepares participants to recognize and respond appropriately to significant safety and health hazards that may be encountered during disaster recovery operations.

• Emergency and Evacuation Considerations
• Hazard Reporting and Incident Prevention
• Disaster Site Worker Scenario and Review Activities

Course Duration: 7.5 Hours

Program: A.R.G. Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) – Disaster Site Worker Program.

Course Completion: Participants who successfully complete the required training may receive A.R.G. course completion documentation for the OSH 7.5-Hour Disaster Site Worker program.

Important: This is an independent A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health occupational safety and health training program. It is not the U.S. Department of Labor OSHA Disaster Site Worker Outreach Training Program and does not issue an OSHA/DOL student course completion card.

HAZWOPER Notice: This program does not satisfy or replace training required under OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standards. Additional training may be required depending on an employee’s assigned duties, potential exposures, and role during disaster response or recovery operations.

Employers remain responsible for determining applicable regulatory requirements and providing workers with appropriate task-specific, site-specific, equipment-specific, respiratory protection, PPE, emergency response, and other required training.
