1514 – Bulldozer Operator Safety Training
A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health provides Bulldozer Operator Safety Training designed to provide participants with the knowledge and practical understanding necessary to safely operate crawler and wheel-type bulldozers and recognize hazards associated with grading, pushing, clearing, earthmoving, slope work, and construction-site operations.
This training program addresses equipment familiarization, pre-operation inspection, workplace hazards, stability, safe travel, blade operation, ground conditions, slopes, visibility, manufacturer requirements, and operator responsibilities. Practical operator evaluation may be provided when applicable and when suitable equipment is available.

Training Discipline: Heavy Equipment Operator Safety
Equipment: Bulldozer / Crawler Dozer / Wheel Dozer, as Applicable
Training Format: Instructor-led classroom and/or online instruction with practical equipment training and operator evaluation as applicable.
Practical Training: When provided as part of operator qualification, hands-on training should address the specific equipment configuration, controls, attachments, operating characteristics, limitations, and hazards associated with the bulldozer the participant is expected to operate.
Operator Evaluation: Practical evaluation, when required by the employer, project, manufacturer instructions, or applicable requirements, should be performed using equipment representative of the type the participant will operate and under representative workplace conditions.
Slope & Ground Condition Notice: Bulldozer stability and safe operation can be significantly affected by slopes, soil conditions, edges, excavations, material conditions, and equipment configuration. Operators should follow manufacturer limitations and applicable site-specific safe work procedures.
Utility Safety Notice: Bulldozer operations may expose operators and ground personnel to underground and overhead utility hazards. Applicable utility-location, clearance, excavation, and site-control requirements should be addressed before and during operations.
Employer Responsibility Notice: Completion of this A.R.G. training program does not by itself authorize an individual to operate a bulldozer. Employers remain responsible for ensuring operators are appropriately trained, familiarized, evaluated, authorized, and competent for the specific equipment, attachments, tasks, hazards, and workplace conditions involved.
Training Certificate: Participants who successfully complete applicable training and evaluation requirements may receive an A.R.G. Construction, Safety & Health Certificate of Training documenting completion of the Bulldozer Operator Safety Training program.
The certificate documents training completed and should not be represented as a governmental operator license.
