{"id":6599,"date":"2016-11-08T15:35:53","date_gmt":"2016-11-08T15:35:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/argcsh.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=6599"},"modified":"2026-09-25T18:34:18","modified_gmt":"2026-09-25T22:34:18","slug":"hazwoper","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/argcsh.org\/es\/product\/hazwoper\/","title":{"rendered":"812 \u2013 HAZWOPER 40-Hour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>HAZWOPER 40-Hour Initial Training<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This 40-hour HAZWOPER training course is designed for general site workers who are or may be exposed to hazardous substances or health hazards while performing hazardous waste operations covered by OSHA&#8217;s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standard, 29 CFR 1910.120.<\/p>\n<p>The training provides participants with comprehensive instruction in hazardous waste operations, hazard recognition, exposure prevention, personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection, decontamination, site control, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Duration:<\/strong> 40 Hours<\/p>\n<p><strong>Training Topics:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HAZWOPER regulatory requirements and worker responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Hazard recognition and site characterization<\/li>\n<li>Hazardous substances and exposure risks<\/li>\n<li>Toxicology and routes of exposure<\/li>\n<li>Personal protective equipment (PPE)<\/li>\n<li>Respiratory protection<\/li>\n<li>Air monitoring and exposure assessment<\/li>\n<li>Site control and work zones<\/li>\n<li>Decontamination procedures<\/li>\n<li>Handling hazardous materials safely<\/li>\n<li>Emergency response procedures<\/li>\n<li>Medical surveillance awareness<\/li>\n<li>Engineering controls and safe work practices<\/li>\n<li>Employee rights and responsibilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> For general site workers covered by 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(i), the HAZWOPER initial training requirement includes a minimum of 40 hours of off-site instruction and three days of actual field experience under the direct supervision of a trained and experienced supervisor.<\/p>\n<p>The required supervised field experience is separate from the 40-hour instructional course and is the responsibility of the employer or qualifying worksite.<\/p>\n<p>Additional employer-specific, site-specific, task-specific, equipment-specific, or regulatory training may also be required before an employee performs assigned duties independently.<\/p>\n<p>Employees covered by the HAZWOPER standard are also subject to applicable annual refresher training requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Duration:<\/strong> 40 Hours | <strong>Provider:<\/strong> A.R.G.
