Construction, Safety &amp; Health provides Site-Specific Hazard Awareness Training developed to address the requirements of 30 CFR Part 46, \u00a746.11.<\/p>\n<p>This training is designed to alert individuals entering a Part 46 mine site to the specific hazards, conditions, traffic patterns, restricted areas, emergency procedures, and safe work practices applicable to that particular mining operation.<\/p>\n<p>Site-Specific Hazard Awareness Training must be provided before applicable persons are exposed to mine hazards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Training May Apply To:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Office and Staff Personnel<\/li>\n<li>Scientific Workers<\/li>\n<li>Delivery Workers<\/li>\n<li>Customers and Commercial Over-the-Road Truck Drivers<\/li>\n<li>Vendors and Visitors<\/li>\n<li>Applicable Maintenance and Service Workers<\/li>\n<li>Applicable Construction Workers<\/li>\n<li>Employees of Independent Contractors<\/li>\n<li>Miners Who Move From One Mine to Another, When Applicable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Training Methods May Include:<\/strong> Oral instruction, written hazard information, signs and posted warnings, walk-around training, or other appropriate methods sufficient to alert affected persons to site-specific mine hazards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Duration:<\/strong> Site-dependent. Part 46 does not establish a universal minimum number of training hours for Site-Specific Hazard Awareness Training. Training must be sufficient for the hazards and conditions to which the individual may be exposed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regulatory Reference:<\/strong> MSHA \u2013 30 CFR Part 46, \u00a746.11 Site-Specific Hazard Awareness Training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> This training must be customized to the actual mine site.
